The president of the Federal office for the protection of the constitution (BfV) Hans-Georg Maaßen has warned that 70 to 80 percent of the migrants coming to Europe are young men aged from 16 to 35 years. They come mainly from Syria and Iraq, where they came into contact with the war. Part of them has combat experience, some of then fought for Islamic state, and some have the command to fight.
He added that the migration flows, however, are not purposefully used to smuggle terrorists. Maaßen during the visit to Vienna also declared that his office knows about 7900 islamist radicals in Germany who advocate violent jihad. These people supposedly targeted approach refugees and they're trying to get them to their cause.
