This is a really beautiful book.... for any WW2 enthusiast (or enthusiast about our foreign resistance) almost a must. And you can see that Mr. Sitensky is a PAN photographer...the photos are not only documentary but in a way poetic, whimsical ..... it's a beauty, I bought it as soon as it came out, back then as a "poor student" and it was a blast for my savings...but I don't regret it....

I am also pleased that the author of the book did not concentrate "in the war years" only on the flying apparatus, but also gave his share of attention to the ground part of our troops abroad, and by the way, his "civilian photos" are also wonderful.

I have a feeling that Mr. Sitensky's photos taken at the 1st. CSIAD are probably the best of the whole book ... anyway the most original ...
