MAR-290 Episkopi (290mm raketomet)
A rocket launcher modeled on the Soviet BM-24[/url] rocket launchers that Israel acquired during its wars with its Arab neighbors. Development began in the late 60s of the 20th century (some sources specify the year 1968), the basic version using the chassis of the M51 Sherman tank was accepted into service in 1973.
