An exercise called the Nobel Jump will take place from 7. 10. April in the Netherlands and the Czech republic. The focus will be on "rapid preparation and deployment components of the" forces very rapid response, which should arrive to a place of crisis or external aggression ranging from 48 hours to seven days.
The second exercise Nobel Jump 2 will be more extensive and will take place from 9. 19. June in Poland, in the training area Żagań in the west of the country. The alliance will be in a simulated crisis to test the capacity of the deployment of alliance forces from Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the Czech republic.
The next stage of the exercise with the participation of up to 25,000 soldiers in the fall to take place in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
The secretary-general of the alliance Jens Stoltenberg in February said that the rapid reaction force will be grouping in the strength of the brigade, which will have around 5 thousand soldiers of special forces with air and naval support.
