Czech republic buys another 20 armored trabsportérů Pandur II (8x8)[/heading]
7. January 2015 Ministry of defence of the CZECH republic announced that it will purchase 20 additional armoured vehicles Steyr Pandur II, which will serve as a command post staff and liaison vehicles. About this informed IHS Jane's.

The ministry of defence also announced that the vehicle will be ordered with the company General Dynamics European Land Systems - Steyr (GDELS-Steyr) without competitive tendering. The contract price is not known. 20 armored vehicles are planning to order in June 2015, when I will have MO available money from the military budget.

"The vehicle will be different from what is already in the ACR used from the original not only from the outside, but mainly interior, that will match the tactical-technical needs of the army", said NGŠ Peter Paul.

The ACR is currently used by 107 armoured vehicles Pandur

General Paul further stated that MO CR order at GDELS-Steyr not fitted with bogies and will be selected by the local producer, into them install all the necessary equipment, on-board computers and systems connected.

"We can so much more effectively cooperate with the local supplier in the integration process and have more influence (on the types of installed systems), which would not have been possible in the case of foreign vendor," said general Paul.
