Dear Sirs,
years ago, I received the photo below, which shows a prototype of a crane vehicle built on the chassis of a tank destroyer. I found out that this is the upper yard of the company ČKD Montáže, later renamed the Supplier Plant, now known as ČKD DIZ.

Witnesses claimed that the prototype of the Hetzer crane was created by fitters welding "I" profiles crosswise. They set up a turntable in their center and mounted a crane HSC-5 (possibly HSC-4). Then the designers came and drew and calculated the vehicle.

The dating of the photograph is not determined, but I assume that it is the late fifties, when the Czechoslovak Army began to decommission self-propelled guns ST-1.

Fantastic things are hidden in your archive Jirko. Was there a series?

Hi Brano,
I came to this photo as "blind to the violin". She just appeared at my desk with a note: Someone brought it here. I found the witness by accident and only talked about what is written above.

For the time being, I am working with hypothesis that there has been no major expansion. Perhaps it was this only machine, which was then used in the assembly for various auxiliary work. It is also true that I have never seen this toy and I have been working at the ČKD Supplier Plant since the autumn of 1966.
