08.01.2014 - USA: havárie vrtulníku, 1 mrtvý

During exercises off the coast of Virginia crashed near cape Henry the helicopter MH-53E Sea Dragon of HM-14 "Vanguards" (Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fourteen) of base Norfolk.
A second machine of the same type, which exercise he participated in, dropped on the crash site rubber boat. The rescue action is further involved helicopters MH-60S Seahawk from HSC-28 "Dragon Whales" (Helicopter Sea Combat Support Squadron Twenty Eight) and boats of the coast guard USCGC Shearwater (WPB-87349).
Managed to save 4 people. One of the persons, however, subsequently died in hospital.

According to other sources it should be dead at least 2 people (Lt. Wesley Van Dorn, 29, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Brian Collins, 25), who had to die in the hospital, another member of the crew (Lt. Sean Christopher Snyder, 39), which is missing is most likely also dead.
