Roskosmos announced a public competition for the production of a manned space transport complex of new generation. According to the documents published on the website of state procurement, is the project scheduled to release 9 billion 536 million 300 thousand rubles (about 300 million USD).
The application form will be accepted from 23.October 22.November 2013. The announcement of the results of the audition is scheduled for the 22.November.
Previously it was reported that the rocket-space corporation Space (ракетно-космическая корпорация (РКК) "Энергия") developed a technical project of a manned transport complex of new generation (PTK NG - пилотируемого транспортного комплекса нового поколения ПТК НП), which passed the experts ' opinions. The president - general designer of RUSSIAN Space Vitaly Slog, announced that the project was on the whole evaluated positively.
"In the last decade of July 2013 took place the meeting of the scientific-technical council of the Federal space agency, on which was a technical project spacecraft approved. In accordance with the decision of the council is planned the conclusion of the state contract with the RUSSIAN Space on the next stage of the development of manned spacecraft, which is the creation of technical documentation.", explained Vitaly Slog.

"The main task of the PTK NG will perform flights to the Moon. May also perform transport and technical servicing orbital stations in orbit around the Earth and the autonomous flights with a view to the execution of space experiments and research.", noted Slog.
He further stated the basic characteristics of the PTK NG:
- on a flight to the Moon - the launch weight up to 20 t, crew 4 persons, duration manned flight to 10 days;
- in the inclusion in the assembly of a space station in orbit around the Moon, the duration of the flight 180 days.
"PTK NG will use repeatedly. In the short-term years to the Month it will be possible to use it up to 10x, while long-term years sestykováním with Měsícní the orbital station at least 3 times.", said Slog.
According to him, it was during the development of the new spacecraft used a lot of innovative solutions. Launches for leading the PTK NG into space will be carried out from the new Russian cosmodrome Vostočnyj (космодром Восточный - 51°56'10"N 128°12'16"E). Landing will also be carried out on the territory of the Russian federation. This will secure the independence of Russia in the security of their own programme of space flights.
The repeated use of the PTK NG is, inter alia, to allow a soft landing when you return to the landing legs, and replacing the heat shield when meziletové maintenance.
