The Polish army bought from the German Bundeswehr 116 until about 20 years old German tanks Leopard, specifically, has to deal mainly about the type of 2A5 (105 pcs) and 2A4 (11 pcs). These machines have all be from a backup of the Bundeswehr. That has to be in the future armed with only about 225 tanks version 2A6. At present, Poland has already 128 Leopards bought already in 2002. Outside the tanks were taken whether or not the necessary elements of technical security (however, does not specify a subscription such as rescue and workshop machines based on the tank Leopard). The total amount of the contract has to be according to unofficial sources, about 200 miles. EUR.
