The Polish catholic church has made it clear that the victory for which this designation of the "miracle on the Vistula", had a decisive share in the miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary.
"In the night from 14. 15. August has become a miracle in the form of revelation of the Blessed Virgin Mary over sections of the Red army, which triggered panic in its ranks," he said during the celebration of the 93. the anniversary of the greatest modern victory of the Poles by bishop Henryk Hoser.
