29.04.2013 - Šestá oběť z řad francouzských ozbrojených sil v Mali

When a reconnaissance mission was light vehicle (perhaps Peugeot P4) nadrotmistra (with caporal-chef) Stéphane Duval struck by improvised bombs in the area north-east of Mali, between the Tin Zaouaten and Boughessa. Master sergeant Stéphane Duval died, two other soldiers were injured.

Master sergeant Stéphane Duval belonged to 1. the regiment of parachutists of the marine corps from Bayonne (1er RPIMa - 1e régiment de parachutistes d'infantry de marine de Bayonne). He was born 22. August 1980, in the army for 11 years. He participated in missions in the Gabon, Guyana, Côte d'ivoire, Afghánistánu and Burkina Faso. Fatal happened to him operation Serval in Mali. He became the sixth victim from the ranks of the French forces in operation Serval. In the 33 years he had a wife and two children.During his service he received numerous honours, among others, such as the Croix de la Valeur Militaire avec l'etoile d'argent.
