11.01.2013 - Francouzský vrtulník sestřelen v Mali

Already shortly after the involvement in fights in Mali as part of operation Serval was shot down a French helicopter Gazelle of 4. a helicopter regiment of the special forces of the French army in action against the islamist groups. The downing occurred near the capital city of Mopti. Helicopter Pilot died after being taken to the hospital for injuries.

The pilot was Lieutenant Damien BOITEUX.
