304. the brigade from the assembly Tank corps arrived in new york harbor 17. in march 1919 on the paluěb In.With.With. Patricia. After the landing has been moved to Camp George G. Meade, where she was 22. June 1921 merged with the 305. brigade and zreorganizována on 1. tank group and assigned to the reserve of the general headquarters. 1. tank group consisted of 15. tank battalion (special), 16. tank battalion (light), 17. tank battalion (heavy), 18. tank battalion (light) and 21. company maintenance tanks. In 1924 became a 19. tank battalion (heavy). To 1. September 1929 was 1. tank group renamed the 1. tank regiment (light).
