Unguided rockets Kasám
Rocket Kasám is a simple homemade steel artillery rocket from the provenance of the Brigades of Izz ad-Dinah al-Kasáma, which is the military wing of the palestinian terrorist movement Hamas. Their production began in 2001 after the outbreak of the second intifada and the first shot on Israel occurred 5. March 2002. For the production of missiles are used components that are commonly available - steel pipe, iron castings and aluminum elements. On the one hand is the steel pipe attached to a warhead weighing several kilograms and on the other are stabilizing wings, between which is located the detonator. In the head initially was a common explosive, but with time, they began to use better quality materials smuggled through underground tunnels from Egypt. The terrorists in the heads in addition, they add metal particles to increase the extent of the damage caused. The fuel, placed in the middle part of the rocket, is produced from a mixture of sugar and fertilizer. The price of a single rocket is around 15 thousand crowns. Fired are either of the vehicles, or home-made racks. The rockets have no guidance system and are therefore very inaccurate. They can be divided into several versions, but it should be borne in mind that this is a homemade device, and so features may vary from piece to piece, the data are therefore rather approximate.
