During takeoff at a base in Dar es Salaam crashed training machine Hongdu K-8 Karakorum/Nanchang JL-8 (JW 9129) when above him, the crew lost control. Both crew members ejected. Captain Deogratius Magushi despite the opening of the parachute after impact on the ground died. The second pilot, captain Feruzi Kwidika, was transferred to the military hospital of Lugalo with minor injuries. Unswayed aircraft crashed into a nearby stationary container and has suffered relatively low damage.
