22.10.2012 - Košické múzeum letectva získalo Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10

Branch of the Slovak Technical Museum - Aviation Museum in Košice, acquired in its collections Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 from a private collector from Germany, Jürgen Dilger. It obtained it in exchange for a copy of the Daimler Benz engine DB 605.
According to the director of the STM Aviation Museum Miroslav Hájek, the aircraft was shot down on 1 January 1945 during Operation "Bodenplatte" near the German village of Felsberg on the border with France. After the war, the wreckage of an airplane buried a farmer in the pit. It was dug up in 1988 by Raymond Wagner. In 2004, he completed the renovation of the aircraft and subsequently the aircraft was transferred to the Messerschmitt Stiftung (EADS), from where it was acquired by Jürgen Dilger.
According to Miroslav Hájek, the museum wants to get it as complete as possible so that it can be presented to visitors. However, this will require considerable funds, which the museum wants to obtain from sponsors.

In the museum it is marked as Bf-109 G-14/AS. I appeal to the aircraft carriers to add topics to the Bf-109. Many are missing.

Diskuse

Interesting - to get up to 80% complete machine (it also has an engine) in exchange for an engine ... an interesting exchange, it just comes to me ... strange - in my opinion definitely less advantageous for the aircraft owner. Now I don't know right away, but didn't Slovaks fly to the G-10?
