CZK - PT-Mi-Ba-III (protitanková mina bakelitová)

The anti-tank bakelite mine PT Mi-Ba III is intended for the establishment of anti-tank explosive barriers, by means of manual laying (surface and recessing), laying from semi-automatic stackers and low-flying helicopters by means of slides.

It is by its nature an anti-belt pressure contact mine highly resistant to overpressure at the head of the shock wave.

In the event of an explosion, the mine pierces the belt of the tank to a width of 900 mm and puts it out of combat.

Description:

The body of the mine and the pressure disc are made of textile bakelite. The resistance ring and the pull-out handle are made of polyamide. The other parts of the mine are made of bakelite, only the tip of the striker and the spring of the striker are metal.

The body of the mine consists of a package for TNT explosive charge.

The Ro-2 detonator is permanently screwed into the mine and is selected only when adjusting and deadjusting the mine.

PT Mi-Ba III cannot be detected by a mine mine for metal mines.

Name: PT-Mi-Ba-III
Shape: disc flat box made of bakelite
Dimensions: height 108 mm, diameter 330 mm
Weight: 9.9 kg
Weight: explosives 7.2 kg + 116g as an incendiary charge
Explosive type: TNT
Initial pressure: 200 kg
Lighter: pressure RO7-III or older RO7
Purpose: anti-tank mine
This mine was introduced into the Czechoslovak Army as a replacement for PT-Mi-Ba, which is structurally very similar. Thanks to the use of a bakelite box which is very difficult to find by older detectors, it is still used today. It has been used in almost all African conflicts from Ethiopia to South Africa, as well as in Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq and Cambodia. In addition to the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, it was also produced under license in Bulgaria. The RO7 III lighter can also be set for delayed initiation (by 0, 2, 4, 6 to 8 s)

ANTI-TANK MINE PT Mi-BA III
High-pressure anti-belt contact contact mine at the pressure wave front. Laying from semi-automatic stackers/surface and recessed/and low-flying helicopters. The detonation of the mine occurs by the action of the activating force of the tank track of the tank on the pressure disc. When the pressure disc swings, the lateral force of the wall of the recess of the closing screw or the wall of the recess of the unlocked automatic fuse on the Ro-2 igniter head is induced, which is cut and released by a steel-tipped striker which is thrown onto the combined detonator Žk. The activated detonator will cause an explosive charge and the explosive charge of the mine to explode. During the explosion, the mine pierces the belt of the tank to a width of 900 mm and puts it out of combat.
