& # 381; eriav tank JT 34 (Jerab tank - JT)
JT 34 was the first project whose development was completely realized in the Development Structure of the then J. V. Stalin Plant in Martin. The development began in 1957 on the basis of the requirements of the Tank and Automobile Administration of the Ministry of National Defense of the Slovak Republic.
In 1958, functional samples of a vehicle with a hydraulically operated engine were made, which was modified to a prototype in 1959 on the basis of tests. In 1960, complete company, control and military tests of the prototype were performed and At the beginning of 1961, the development of the vehicle was completed.
The verification series JT 34 in the number of 5 pieces was produced in 1962 and in 1963 and & # 382; In 1966, serial production took place.
The vast majority of manufactured vehicles were used by the domestic military, the SLA, but several dozen were also delivered for export to India and Morocco.
