This is the one with the architecturally most valuable buildings of this type in Europe at all. In Poland is virtually the only competition in just from the parts of the preserved city hall of krakow. In Bohemia it again can be compared only with the city hall of prague.

Wrocław main railway station (Wrocław Główny)

The main Wrocław railway station was built in the years 1855 to 1857, on the basis of the project of Wilhelm Grapowa, in the historical English neo-gothic style from the period of the Tudors. In the years 1899 to 1904 occurred respecting the redevelopment and expansion of the existing space station, according to the project of Bernard Klüscheho. Exhibiting a work of art - skyline Raclavické battle. Originally, this was a work of art located in Lviv. After the war it was the USSR released from most of the artistic works of Poland. The actual construction of the building began around the beginning of the years 60., but many times is delayed or has been suspended.

Trhová hall/ marketplace no. 1 (Hala Targowa nr I)

It stands on the site of the original bishop's court from 14. century, which was replaced at the beginning of the 16. century so-called Sand arsenal (Arsenał Piaskowy). In 19. century has been buying up nearby houses for the purpose of the construction of the marketplace. However, the final decision was postponed several times. With the development of the project thus began in 1901. Designers Richard Plüddemann and Heinrich Küstera, was designed by an impressive neogotickou construction. According to their project eventually was built two identical buildings, but the second was seriously damaged by the fighting in 1945, and its demolition was started in 1973. The year 1905 began with the demolition of the armory and home, the following year started my own building, during which she changed the design of the iron for reinforced concrete, and the construction company. In 1908 the building was completed and handed over for use as a "Casino Nummer 1".

The water tower reaches a total height of 40 m, is one of the oldest technical monuments of Wroclaw. Was established as a key element of the project James Moore to provide water for 200 thousand inhabitants. The historicist form of the building carried out by the city architect Johann Christian Zimmermann. The actual construction took place in the years 1866 to 1871, while total costs reached the amount of 3 million marks. To sprovoznění occurred 1. August 1871. The original steel water tank, riveted construction, was completed by the year 1902 on the reinforced concrete. Their total volume amounted to 4150 m3. In the modern production hall were from 1879 pumps to steam, the system of Woolf, they made out in the wrocław Ruffer G. H., Maschinen-Bauanstalt, according to the project of ing. Thometzka. In 1924, then they were replaced by the steam turbine system Zoelly.

the Monument of Boleslaw the Brave (Pomnik Bolesław Chrobrego)

Statue of Boleslaw the Brave, was drawn up according to the project of Dorit Korzeniewské, Macieja Albrzykowského i Grażyny Jaskierské-Albrzykowské, solemnly unveiled 15. September 2007 on the street Świdnické. This is the first equestrian monument in Breslau, which was taken after 1945. It stands on the site of the monument of Emperor Wilhelm I., which stood here until 1945.

Papa dwarf - a monument to the Orange alternative (Papa Krasnal
Pomnik Pomarańczowej Alternatywy)


A statue of a dwarf - "the father of the dwarves", is a monument to the Orange alternative (Pomarańczowa Alternatywa). This is a statue of a 40 cm-high dwarf to 80 cm high pedestal, having the form of an article human thumb with a fingernail, larger than life size.

the Church of st Elizabeth (Kościół św. Elżbieta)

The church of st. Elizabeth Hungarian (the second of this dedication in Wroclaw) on the street Grabiszyńské, is neogotická three nava building (with elements of neorománskými), according to the project of the wrocław old market architect Joseph Eberse, built in the years 1892 to 1896 as a catholic church along with the neighbouring complex špitálně-the monastery for the needs of the order of the sisters of alžbětánek, which care for the sick. Benefactor was vratislavský bishop Georg Kopp. During the fighting for the city in 1945, the church was seriously damaged (50%) while the lost tower. Also the surrounding buildings were destroyed. The first repair took place in the years 1948 to 1952, but instead the tower was only temporarily there. In the years 1979 to 1982, joined to more extensive repairs, it was a new steel tower. And just the tower, its shapes inspired by the gothic, makes the church unique, is a project of prof. Tadeusz Zipsera and Mark Dobrowolského. In 1983 he received three new bells (700 kg - "st. Elizabeth", 300 pounds - "John Paul II" and 150 pounds - "st. Francis of Assisi"), 1986 the organ about 30 píšťalách and 1988 was finished with the restoration of the house parafie.

German air-raid shelter on the street Grabiczyńské

It is one of the many air raid shelters (Luftschutz Hochbunker), which were built in Wrocław. These covers were built in a way to make the most blend in with the surrounding buildings. Therefore, the cover has virtually all the elements of the house just missing the bigger window (the top floor is a modern issues). Small round windows then more have served for ventilation. The object was to have the tunnel pointing in the direction of the main station. During the fighting about "Festung Breslau" should be recharged elektrovna (generator ?), therefore, the object as such, the German troops had download and other your pursuit to stop by the tunnel flooded.
