18.06.2012 - Jednotka NATO E-3A Component oslavila třicetiny

16. and 17. June was for forty thousand people open the airport in the German Geilenkirchenu. The Main Operating Base hosts already thirty years unit of the NATO E-3A Component operating planes Boeing E-3A Sentry also known as AWACS.
Machines of this base are among other frequent visitors to the the pardubice airport, where to fly within the training.
Czech flag brought the celebration of the national representative of the CZECH republic in Geilenkirchenu and the captain of the machine E-3A major Milan Vojáček. The unit operates eight Czech representatives. Among the exhibited machines represent the ACR aircraft CASA C-295M 0454.
For the Ministry of defence and the Army of the Czech republic to the celebration participated in a delegation in which were brigadier general Bohuslav Dvořák, director of the section of development types of forces – operating section of the MO, the brigadier general Jiří Verner, the commander of the CZECH air force, a colonel in gšt. Joseph Nightingale, the director of the department of the air force SRDS – OS MO and Ing. Josef Múčka, director of the department of strategic development of the section of defence policy and strategy MO.
