I will add a few more photos (just like the first ones are from the Vienna Military Museum - Arsenal) and show the weapon from other angles - for gourmets and a view of the barrel.

For sweeping the grenade, a powder charge weighing 2.5 kg was used, divided into 5 sub-cartridges. This, together with the change in elevation, made it possible to change the range in the range from 1900 m to 6500 m. The main carriage (transporting the barrel and the upper carriage) and the carriage carriage (lower carriage) were used to transport the mortar.

In 1900, 4 mortars were sold to the British company Vickers (factory numbers 604-607, production numbers 4-7). The mortars were delivered on January 22, 1900, and then in February/February there was a visit of a group of British artillerymen in Pilsen to get acquainted with the weapon. In March/March 1900, the mortars were shipped to the British Isles, where Vickers made adjustments - an extension mainly by 0.8 caliber and changes to the lower carriage. After the changes, the mortars were introduced into the British army as a 9.45 "howitzer Mk 1 ( Ordnance BL 9.45 inch Howitzer Mk I) and sent to South Africa, where they were formed into an artillery battery deployed in a field near the city Pretoria (just underway Anglo-Boer War The mortars were subsequently relocated to China and later back to the British Isles.

Citace - bitaxe :

Transported in 4 parts, ...

Transport in two parts is also mentioned. The first part was a steel barrel with a screw breech (according to welkriege.at barrel and upper mount). The second part was the whole bearing with a carriage.

Citace - bitaxe :

... only by horse traction.
At first it was used for movement, as in the whole rak-uh. army, only hypotraction, where each part of the mortar was pulled by 4 pairs of horses. Between 1908 and 1909, mototraction was introduced for this cannon, making the mortar the first rak-uh device. army with mototraction.
