"This Victoria Cross was awarded for gallantry and bravery in the fight against the enemy on 18. in may 1941. Petty Officer Alfred Edward Sephton was the sight on the deck of HMS Coventry when he was attacked by an enemy aircraft, whose firing Sephtona severely wounded. In deadly pain and severely weakened the great loss of blood quickly stood up and continue to perform its service flawlessly, until the enemy neodletěl. Then, even before he died,
his brave and optimistic spirit supplied the courage of the wounded. Its a great example of inspired the whole boat crew in the next fight and will remain to live in their minds."
