According to the sources listed below, Krupp was to develop a design for a modification of the StuG (presumably a GW III/IV platform) in late 1944, which was to be armed with the 8.8 cm PaK 43 L/71. There is a photograph of the mock-up. The project most likely did not go beyond the plane of considerations after the mock-up was built.
