Not long after the discovery of the wreck of the Gairsoppa, a vessel sunk in World War II carrying 200 tons of silver (more here - World War II shipwreck discovered with 200 tons of silver), another sunken ship with a precious cargo was discovered.
This time it is the British steamship Mantola, sunk in World War I by the U-81 submarine under the command of Captain Raimund Weisbach, sailing from London to Calcutta and carrying "only" about 17 tons of silver. Again, the finder is entitled to 80% of the "treasure" discovered.
