Ground Radar Interrogator 1 / NRZ-1 ("Kremnyj-1")
(in original: Hаземный Pадиолокационный Зaпросник - 1 "Kpeмный - 1") - was used to identify "foreign-own" aircraft in radio-technical reconnaissance systems at radar-equipped lookout stations P-3A, P-8 and P-10.

It works with the SRO-1/ on-board equipment in the original: Cамолётный Pадиолокационный Oтветчик "Барий"/ CPO-1.
On the MiG-15/S-102, MiG-15bis/S-103, MiG-15UTI/CS-102; MiG-17PF/S-104the short antenna was located on the back of the fuselage between the cockpit and the SOP, on the MiG-19Sand MiG-19Pon the left side of the nose.
