In the tightly fragmented industrial production of armoured vehicles in Germany, a programme was initiated by Oberbaurat Kniepkamp(chief civilian advisor to WaPrüf 6 on automotive design) to develop new armoured fighting vehicles, the different categories of which were to use common unified parts. The "E - Entwicklungsfahrzeug" project was proposed in 5/1942, approved for implementation in 4/1943.
Just as the E-10 and E-25 tank fighters were proposed to have unified parts, the E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50 and E-50, respectively, and E-50 and E-50. The Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger/Tiger II was to replace the Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger/Tiger II tanks. An important design element was to be addressed in the new designs and that was the suspension of the travelling wheels. Torsion bar suspension was to be abandoned and an effective suspension with easier repair and replacement options in the event of damage was to be introduced. The chassis, in addition to the drive and tension wheels (both of which had toothed races), was to consist of a bogie assembly consisting of two bogie wheels on a common suspension component, in which the suspension was mounted using toothed pinions and springs. This design was developed by Adlerwerke, Frankfurt am Main. The E-75 was to have four such assemblies on each side, i.e. eight running wheels per side. The machine was to use combat and transport tracks (moving by rail). The plans also envisaged an alternative diesel powerplant with an 8-cylinder Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz, a Voith torque converter and a hydro-mechanical gearbox. However, the development did not progress beyond the drawings.
