Dva čeští vojáci byli lehce zraněni v provincii Vardak v Afghánistánu, když s obrněným vozidlem najeli na nastraženou nálož. Byli přepraveni vrtulníkem do vojenské nemocnice v Kábulu.

Zranění utrpěli desátník P.Z. (nar. 1970) a rotmistr R.N. (nar. 1971) 2. jednotky výcvikového a poradního týmu OMLT z čtyřčlenné posádky vozidla IVECO.
Nejprve byli přepraveni na základnu Carwile a následně vrtulníkem do vojenské nemocnice na základně KAIA v Kábulu.
Součástí nemocnice je i český chirurgický tým.
