57 mm PLK čs - Czechoslovak-made anti-aircraft gun. Developed by ŠKODA Plzeň, gradually put into service from 1950 (1952) with the PVOS anti-aircraft regiments.

It is designed to destroy aerial targets at altitudes up to 6000 m with data from the SON-9A gunnery radar and the EUZ-2 gunnery computer (SRP). Targets can also be searched for with an optical sight to an altitude of 3600 m. Shooting at ground targets by direct aiming is possible up to a range of 4,000 m.

The basic firing unit is a pl battery:
6-8 pcs PLK
RL SON-9A
Optical rangefinder DJA-6
SRP EUZ-2
EC APG-15

The 57 mm PLK was later replaced by the Soviet 57 mm PLK S-60, the last pieces were retired from the CSLa arsenal in the 1970s.

A little something from history:

Development of the prototype falls in march 1948. The designation of the prototype of the škoda works races was the "R10". Was designed for defense against nízkoletícími targets moving max. at the speed of 300m/s.
The prototypes were tested in 1952, but the tests showed some functional shortcomings. Even though the command was given to the production of the zero series which consisted of around 30 pcs.

In 1956 an attempt was made to modernise the cannon, when it was extended feed table for 15 rounds.
Price in 1956: 377 000 czk
Ordered: 200 pcs

TTD R10:
The length of the barrel( grooved barrel): 3 533mm
The length of chamber: 417mm
Max. - remote range: 14 to 200m
Max. height range: 10 000m
The mass of the impactor grenade: 2,56 kg
Propellant: 1,20 kg
Muzzle velocity: 1 005 m/s
Or thumb height: 1 100 mm

PS: the Guns were of the NUMBER taken out until after the revolution. As guys we normally meet in Jaroměř - 82. PL works. division.

Diskuse

And one additional question - what is the official designation of the cannon - in the documentation to which I had access on the pl battery was a cannon marked as 57 mm PLK MS (but we had only one cannon as a non-table, which was placed as a memorial on the platform, otherwise we were armed S-60), ale už I also met the designation 57 mm PLK Czechoslovakia vz. 52 - in connection with the armament pl divisions of ČSĽA divisions with reduced numbers in the early 70s of the 20th century.

Ad) battery composition: it is not necessary to repeat already published data, but I had the impression that the battery composition described by me is clearer - more detailed. Duplication is not necessary, I don't mind if you remove my description of the battery.

Ad) type designation of the gun: in the Del-22-32 regulation the gun is designated as: 57 mm anti-aircraft gun vz. čs.
