The first rifles jehlovky made by Johann Nikolaus von Dreyse in the year 1838. A little later, were these zadovky introduced into the prussian army, the Dreyse was trying to whole gun to further improve, but the basic problem, therefore harming the "needle" is actually a long firing pin which nalíchne step over first stored behind the bullet to solve basically failed. Besides the rifles were of course also manufactured by the gun jehlovky. But it is interesting that the idea to create on the same principle as well as the revolver didn't appear in Prussia but in England, there you G.L. Kufahi patented revolver jehlovku, production of but has not initiated and his patent sometime in the year 1864 he sold his patent to the son of the original inventor of which was Franz von Dreyse, the started gun produce, but obviously with the relatively small commercial success. According to the literature it was made only around 1000 pieces of revolvers Dreyse. All known to me are in the swing of about 9 mm and with a six-cylinder, octagonal main with five of their left-handed grooves. Revolvers are the one-touch. According to the literature there were also guns with a larger caliber (about .45) and osmiranným cylinder, but it could be just about the individual pieces. Reportedly, besides the usual weapons were built and improved with the frame pivot to the right, but again I besides references in the literature to anything like this come across. Revolvers Dreyse have been exhibited at industrial exhibitions, but it came at a time when starting to be revolvers Lefaucheux (first appeared at the exhibition in 1851) commonly on sale and in addition the market was occupied and the guns Colt produced even in Europe. Your maybe make it that the weapon is because of the long conclusion (is it a needle) large enough and awkward. Today are revolvers Dreyse collectible rarity, and their price is very high, from the point of view of the development is a interesting thing but at the same time a blind alley in the development of revolvers
