RG 12

The vehicle was originally developed for the needs of the internal security forces and as a riot vehicle. Incurred vehicle RG12 proved to be very versatile and suitable for other applications, such as command vehicle, prison and security the transit vehicle, tactical rescue vehicle, paramilitary APC and reconnaissance vehicle.
Production began in 1990 in the company TFM. In 1997 it was taken over by Reunert Defence OMC, it was built almost 500 vehicles. Later the company moved under the wing of the company BEA.
The vehicle has many common parts and solution with the RG-31, including troubleshoot engine and propulsion of the vehicle. RG-12 has a high degree of protection, excellent flotation, mobility, versatility and especially economic operation. The vehicle according to use can be transported, the driver and the other 6 to 11 other people. The construction of the hull is welded, the window on the vehicle providing always the same ballistic protection as the hull.

RG-12 Mk1 – the first version with the motor ADE 366T
RG-12 Mk.2 – produced from the year 2000, has been notably upgraded and adjusted auxiliary power units, management of the air conditioning system for effective climate regulation in extreme conditions, providing a central system of the tire inflation to increase mobility by making it possible to driving the tire pressure depending on the terrain, ABS, and various ergonomic modifications to ensure the comfort of the crew.
RG-12 Mk.2 (MARS) - Mobile Adjustable Ramp System - mobile system with the superstructures, ramps for rescue operations and rapid air transportation - designed especially for North america. This is actually a system of two hydraulically operated ramp.
RG-12 CAT - variant fitted with a Caterpillar engine.
RG-12 Command Vehicle – command vehicle developed specifically for users in the Middle east.
RG-12 Mk.3
RG-12 Mk.4 - is the latest version of the RG12 and features a new engine with a higher torque and power, disc brakes on all wheels for improved braking performance. Digital electrical system is designed with the aim of improving the maintenance and servicing RG12 through the use of plug-in diagnostic connection to the computer. Production of this version runs from 2008
