- Long-range fighter, a total of 18 aircraft were modified, the modification consisted in the installation of a tank with a volume of 200 liters in the fuselage.
Macchi M.C. 205N Orione
- Major modifications gave rise to a new type, a new wing with a span of 11,250 mm was installed on the extended fuselage, cannons were built into the fuselage MG 151/20

- High-altitude fighter, carried in the axis of the propeller cannon MG 151/20 and four half-inch machine guns in the fuselage.

- High-altitude fighter with more powerful weapons, only prototypes.
