The R-137 radio is a large radio station derived from the R-140 type (despite the lower number), which operates on the range of short (up to 30 MHz) and large short waves (above 30 MHz). It allows work with simplex, semiduplex and full duplex. During A3j operation, it is possible to transmit separate information in each sideband. Internal equipment corresponds to R-140, the difference is only in appearance of the output stage and the antenna part of the transmitter. There were only a limited number of these radio stations in ČSLA and they were mounted exclusively on the chassis ZiL-131.
