Indie a Rusko dnes odsouhlasily společný projekt na výrobu vojenského dopravního letadla. Oba partneři, United Aircraft Building Company a Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. vloží do projektu každý USD 300,35 mil. Výroba bude probíhat v Rusku i Indii. Celkem je plánována výroba 205 letadel, z toho má být 30% exportováno do třetích zemí. Start prvního letadla je očekáván v letech 2016-18.
