The conversion of two Finnish assault guns StuG III Ausf.G created in 1946/1948 training vehicles for the training of new crews. The conversion was carried out on vehicles with the registration Ps.531-21 (1946) and Ps.531-52 (1948). The gun was removed from the machines and Ps.531-21, which was used as a command vehicle during the war in 1944 and was damaged in combat was given a new overhead armour with two hatches fitted over the fighting compartment. Between 1956-59 the vehicle with the original designation Ps.531-21 bore the designation Ps.631-1 and the vehicle Ps.531-52 bore the designation [iaa]Ps.631-2. During this period, the vehicles were subsequently converted back to classic assault gun form and subsequently returned to their original registration numbers.
