Při běžném letu nad Arabským mořem dva F/A-18 Hornet, patřící k Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 37, spatřily hořící loď asi 50 mil od USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). Na pomoc byly vyslány dva vrtulníky SH-60 Sea Hawk z Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 7, které zachránily celkem 8 námořníků plujících na záchraném voru.
