On social media, we have seen many reports of the handover of the new 2S35 Coalition-SV self-propelled howitzers to the Russian Federation Army. These are the first production units of this new and modern Russian howitzer. The previous 12 units produced can only be counted as prototype and pre-series. The development of the howitzer began in late 2005 and early 2006, and it was originally developed as a double-barrelled howitzer. After 2010, however, the concept was changed and the first prototype howitzer was not produced until 2013.

Nowadays we can follow the war in Ukraine de facto online. On a scale that has not been possible until today. Even so, we find ourselves in the fog of war. For the sake of information operations, we are shown the situation on the battlefield in such a way as to influence the support for that side's own operations. Beyond that, we live in a world where we are subject to a certain short-sightedness and, in the spirit of the saying 'wishful thinking', we internally confirm only that information which supports our world view and our truth. Add to this the rumours and myths of the past and it is done.
