Philippines 'to take South China Sea row to court
In the context of a longer-term dispute around the territorial waters between the Philippine republic and -the republic of]people's republic of China occurred apparently to further break. This is a response to a change in chinese policy.

In recent years, China has changed its policy (probably in connection with the definition of a new military strategy for the next 400 years) in the south China sea issue towards a more aggressive attitude to all the participating states (Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, the Sultanate Brunei and Malaysia, similarly, even in more northerly areas, e.g. with Japan, Tchajwanem). The main problem is the ignoring of the legal statements of the International tribunal for the law of the sea (International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea), in particular those relating to the interpretation of section 5 and article 15 of the UN Convention on the law of the sea. China claims essentially on the area of the south China sea, which extend to economic zones or territorial waters of each participating country.

The last sticking point are so shallows Scarborough (in the Philippines are traditionally known as the shallows Panatag), which is located within the so-called Exclusive economic zone of the Philippines (roughly 200 nautical miles) according to the UN Convention on the law of the sea. In addition with that it was historically on the Spanish territory (see. in the framework of the "Carta hydrographica y chorographica de las Islas Filipinas" from the year 1734), which was not prejudice to any international treaties relating to the Philippines (the most important then the Paris agreement, the Treaty of Paris (1898), the Washington agreement, the Treaty of Washington (1900), Convention between the United states and Great Britain, Convention Between the United States and Great Britain (1930)).

The secretary of state (Foreign Secretary) Albert del Rosario announced by the chinese ambassador in Manila, that will be the case of violations of the economic zone handed over to the international arbitrage of the united nations. This is already the second such effort – the first, in April 2012, was China blocked with the fact that there must be a bilateral agreement between the two countries.
