04.11.1943 - arises at the base of Stoney Cross as a unit designed for the training and the introduction of airborne troops and tow gliders in airborne operations, participates in the invasion of Normandy (operation OVERLORD - 1944), the team in Arnhem (theoperation MARKET GARDEN - 1944) and the crossing of the Rhine river (operation VARSITY - 1945) and also participates in the supply of the resistance movement in occupied Europe, after the end of the war acts as a transport unit
