24.08.1942 - arises at the base of the Thruxton as a unit designed for the training and the introduction of airborne units and tow gliders in airborne operations
19.10.1942 - dissolved
04.11.1943 - restored at the base of the Tarrant Rushton again as a unit designed for the training and the introduction of airborne units and tow gliders in airborne operations, involved in the invasion of Normandy (operation OVERLORD - 1944), the team at Arnhem (operation MARKET GARDEN - 1944) and the crossing of the Rhine (operation VARSITY - 1945) and also is involved in the supply of the resistance movement in occupied Europe
05.07.1945 - in connection with the planned operations against Japan transferred to India
21.12.1946 - dissolved
