Spike vz.33 for carbine vz.33, Czechoslovakia
Blade length: 250 mm
Knife bayonet with straight, double-edged blade, passing into a central point. Upward pointing blade. Handle wooden, chrome-plated, connected by two screws with nuts, fitted with cut-outs for screwdriver exclusively on the nuts. Guard with ring, attached to the bayonet with two rivets. Clamping mechanism located in the pommel.
Scabbard all-metal, ball-ended, with a single hanging hook for the slinger.
The bayonet has a typical leather sling.
The bayonet was designed for the vz.16/33 carbine (also referred to simply as vz.33), which was introduced into the armament of gendarmes (gendarmerie) and financial guards. It is related in type to the army bayonet vz.24, from which it differs primarily in its smaller overall dimensions as well as the more pronounced shape of the muzzle.
