Na Havajských ostrovech jsou dokončovány přípravy k přijetí stíhacích letounů 5. generace F-22A Raptor. Dodávka prvních dvou letounů tohoto typu je očekávána v termínu kolem 30. června 2010. Na Havaji má být trvale dislokováno celkem 20 letounů F-22 spolu se třinácti tankovacími letouny KC-135R Stratotanker a osmi transportními letouny C-17 Globemaster III.
