USAF oznámilo, že dne 23. dubna 2010 byla slavnostně aktivována 513th Electronic Warfare Squadron. Úkolem jednotky je poskytování podpory na poli radioelektronického boje pro všechny tři varianty letounu F-35 Lightning II v ozbrojených silách USA.
