Pakistan a USA potvrdili vzájomný kontrakt na dodávku americkej raketovej fregaty Mc Inerney, triedy Oliver Hazard Perry, píše The Pakistan Times.
Hodnota kontraktu predstavuje 65 mil. dolárov.
Návrh na odpredaj fregaty schválil americký Kongress už v r.2008, fregata má byť formálne zaradená do služby u pakistanského námorníctva ku dňu 31.08.2010, avšak fyzicky bude odovzdaná Pakistanu v januári 2011, kedy bude ukončená oprava a modernizácia v amerických lodeniciach. Súčasťou dohody je aj prípadná opcia Pakistanu na 7 lodí uvedenej triedy.
