USAF oznámilo, že dne 23. dubna 2010 budou ve vlasti pohřbeny ostatky nedávno identifikovaného letce USAAF, jenž byl od 2. světové války nezvěstný. Devatenáctiletý Tech. Sgt. Walter A. McClellan patřil k posádce bombardéru B-17 Flying Fortress sestřeleného dne 17. dubna 1945 při náletu na železniční depo v Drážďanech. Za pomoci německých občanů byl osud letce ozřejmen. Dle záznamů kostela v Burkhardswalde mladý americký letec vyskočil nad městem Biensdorf, byl zajat a popraven příslušníky SS nedaleko Burkhardswalde, kde byl také pochován.
