War cemetery Snina I. - Giglovo
Location: The war cemetery is located at the top of the Giglovo hill, near the Snina Ponds recreation centre.
Characteristics: The original number of soldiers buried at the cemetery in Snina I - Giglovo is unknown. From the surviving documentation from 1923 and 1928 we know there were originally four smaller isolated cemeteries in Giglovo, which consisted of one single grave, 7 common graves and 10 shafts. In 1929 three of the cemeteries were exhumed and the remains of 71 soldiers were placed in grave 10 in this cemetery. Graves 1 - 9 are the original graves from the period 1914-1915. In addition to the remains of soldiers from the extinct cemeteries, in 1929 the remains of soldiers from other Snina war cemeteries Snina IV - Štefkovo (52 soldiers) and Snina V - Trescana (7 soldiers) were also placed in grave No. 10. Thus, 130 remains of soldiers are buried in this mass grave (shaft). The exhumation of the war cemeteries in Snina in 1929 resulted from the regulations in force for the maintenance of war graves in the period of the First Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and was related to the need to ensure the care of these cemeteries. The original architectural design of the cemetery at Giglov, as well as its size, were changed by these interventions. The establishment of a mass grave expanded the cemetery from the original 70 m² (14x5 m) to today's 150 m² (16.70 x 9 m).
Current state: In 1974, fencing was made on concrete posts with mesh and the original oak cross was still in place at the top. The cemetery is regularly mowed by members of the Friends of the Eastern Carpathians. Currently, the cemetery is being repaired by the Beskydy Military History Club with the support of the town of Snina.

Work brigade Club of military history at the vojnovom cintoríne Snina Even. - Giglovo (23. 6.2012)
In júni 2012 sa on this cintoríne uskutočnila first work akcia KVH Beskydy. Stopped we sústredili on obnoveniu tomb of fields under sketch from 1928. At the same time, we have modified the aj celú area of the cemetery. On every grave was umiestnený wooden cross, to which čoskoro pribudnú information tabuľky. On budúcej share sa will be stopped venovať I oploteniu.

On the other share, we sa sústredili on the dismantling of the old betónového oplotenia and the preparation of the wood on the new oplotenie. First we, however, inštalovali information labels on the individual cross. Poriadne we sweat pri odstránení old concrete stĺpov, ktoré boli nehomogénnym prvkom on cintoríne. Of the total hľadiska just betónové stĺpy on vojnový ' boneyard in the woods nepatria. It contradicts the koncepcii využitia prírodných materiálov ( drevo, kameň), which is necessary využívať when editing takýchto cintorínov. Will bring the rest of the time we have left to focus on preparing for wood on budúce oplotenie.
Vojnový cintorín už bez betónových stĺpov oplotenia. Čoskoro pribudne nové drevené oplotenie.

Tretia work akcia KVH Beskydy on the vojnovom cintoríne Snina Even. - Giglovo ( 17.-19. 8. 2012)
Tretia akcia bola primárne venovaná construction oplotenia. Traditional problémom bola logistics. All we had to Giglovo vyniesť. Preto sa brigade roztiahla up to three days, but výsledok worth it. Ochre oplotenia bol pri cintoríne umiestnený aj new informačný panel pre turistov.
Transport materiálu na kótu Giglovo. Fotka zobrazuje ešte len nástupný priestor. Ďalej bol terén dosť komplikovaný.
Nový infopanel pre turistov.
