Note:
Ponorka ztroskotala v Severním moři jižně od Bronnoysund v pozici 65°24'00"N 11°59'50" E po poškození raketami a hlubinnými náložemi letounů Fairey Firefly a Fairey Barracuda startující z letadlové lodě HMS Implacable (86). Dále ponorku poškodily letouny Handley Page Halifax (502. perutě RAF, letouny D / T).

12 ponorkářů zahynulo a 43 bylo zachráněno.

Na útoku se také podílela dvě československá letadla B-24 Liberator (311. perutě RAF, letouny H / Y).
Grounded on 27 October 1944 in the North Sea south of Bronnoysund, in position 65.24N, 11.59,5E after damages by rockets and depth charges from Firefly and 2 Barracuda aircraft of the British carrier HMS Implacable, 2 British Handley Page Halifax aircraft (Sqdn 502/D/T) and from 2 Czechoslovakian Liberator aircraft (Sqdn 311/H/Y). 12 dead and 43 survivors.
