On 5.6.1944, the BMM company was to submit a design for a reconnaissance vehicle using the Bergepanzer 38(t) platform. A low, top-opening Hängelafette turret with a 2 cm Kw.K. 38 gun and MG 42 machine gun was to be mounted on the vehicle's top-covered ceiling, which was used for example on Sd.Kfz.250/9, or Sd.Kfz.234/1. The project did not even see prototype form. Later, the intention was to create the same vehicle on the Jagdpanzer 38D platform.
