Muzeum je založeno s ohledem na techniku, její vývoj a to již od pravěku, ale také se zajímá o výrobu. Dají se tady nalézt i archeologické nálezy, jako jsou např. kadluby, části pecí, kovářské či kovotepecké nástroje ad. Nachází se zde řada různých strojů včetně letadel a leteckých motorů. Na prostranství za muzeem pak je vystavena řada proudových letounů. Např. Su-22, Su-25, MiG-21, MiG-19 aj. Kdysi mělo muzeum ve svých sbírkách i jiné letouny jako Avia S-199, Avia C-2, Avia B-33, Me-262 či La-5 (7?) ad. Tyto stroje však byly (snad s jednou výjimkou) sešrotovány. -

The Existence of the technical museum in Brno has a rich history. The first museum exhibition technical exhibits are known already from the 19th. century in Frances ' museum, today's Moravian museum. However, these exhibits gradually excluded from their collections. Continued further development, but the emergence of the museum as such can be put to 1. January 1961, when the brno branch spun off from the prague NATIONAL technical museum Technical museum in Brno, at that time had its seat, the outside of the other separate exposures, which later even expanded, in the building of the monastery of the order of st. Voršily. However, after this monastery was returned in restitution to have the museum eventually these areas clear, however, in that time not needed exhibition space, and so he threatened to extinction. However, eventually acquired new spaces for the exhibition and facilities in King's Field. With regard to this is internal exposure addressed very modern here are a few of the halls and other more or less separated by space, representing the models, the originals or parts of the technique and its development. It's also about the presentation of the industry in Moravia and we can therefore see the products of many famous brands, even some of today no longer exist. On display are vehicles of the brand Wikow and Tatra, aero-engines, various machines (turbines, etc.), in the main lobby this is a must even aircraft Zlin 526 And - Trainer Acrobat or helicopter HC-102. In outdoor exposure, then there is a more modern jet military aircraft as a Sukhoi Su-22 and Su-25, Mig 19 and 21, L-29 Dolphin and more. Once had a museum in their collections, even older machines, but you, perhaps with some exception but they were long ago scrapped.
