Indie v krátké době ztratila druhý MiG. Tentokrát se jednalo o MiG-21FL ze základny Bagdogra, patřící 8. letce 20. leteckého křídla (8th Squadron, 20th Wing). Letoun havaroval krátce po startu asi 7 km od základny. Pilot, Squadron Leader (major letectva) Rahul Tiwari, oznámil problémy a před dopadem se stihl katapultovat.
Na místě nehody ho vyzvedl vrtulník služby SAR typu HAL Chetak (licenční výroba Alouette III SA 316B) a dopravil do blízké vojenské nemocnice.
