[color = red] Ground Master 400 (GM 400) Radar Station
Manufacturer:
ThalesRaytheon Systems
Introduction - new threats:
At the turn of the 21st century, the conditions for fulfilling traditional ideas of lasting peace were still not met and the danger of war had still not been eliminated.
The danger is not only from the loss of some states, but also from various terrorist groups and organizations.
Air threats in particular contribute to these threats, which, due to their diversity and capabilities, are more or less destined to carry out an attack. And we are not only talking about traditional military means (fighter jets, helicopters, drones and missiles of all kinds), but also classic transport and light passenger aircraft.
Ground Master radar series - general features:
Ground Master RLS series are versatile, multi-tasking air defense radars designed to protect key assets and forces on remote approaches.
The RLS Ground Master series is the first product to combine three revolutionary concepts:
- digital radar (fully digitized radar);
- e-radar (economic radar - relatively low acquisition costs and low operating costs);
- green radar (minimal environmental impact).
The RLS Ground Master 400 is specifically designed to meet the following operational requirements:
- high detection power;
- high availability and easy maintenance;
- high mobility.
Description:
- full digitization
- digital formation of radiation characteristics
- "stacked beam" - maximum beam irradiation time of the target
- waveband S
- antenna rotation speed 6 sec
- fully Doppler mode
- ECCM capability (Electronic counter-countermeasures)
- Ability to search for tactical ballistic missiles
Basic TTD:
- maximum instrument distance of target detection - 470 km;
- distance of detection of an air object of the fighter-bomber type - 390 km;
- minimum target detection distance - 5 km;
- altitude range - more than 100,000 feet (30,500 m);
- azimuth - whole circle, ie 360 °;
- maximum position angle - 20 °.
Reliability:
- interruption time - 3500 hours;
- Availability & gt; 99.9%;
- high degree of redundancy (transmitters, receivers, auxiliary equipment, means of processing);
- limited operation;
- compact air-cooled transmitter;
- signal transmission by optical cables;
- permanent remote information (unattended);
- extraordinary and scheduled maintenance is performed by a limited number of operators;
- shutdown time required for annual preventive maintenance - 30 hours.
Deployment/Resistance:
- one separate container (standard ISO container, 20 ft, 10 tons);
- connection to the central data network for operational control and transmission of air situation information;
- transition to combat position:
- time 1 hour;
- required number of persons - 4;
- high safety for operational and technical operators;
- the possibility of transport using a single car tractor, tactical aircraft (series C-130 Herculesor by helicopter;
- the container with the entire apparatus can be placed directly on the car chassis with a load capacity of 10 tons, which will significantly increase its mobility.
